Today I have an amazing wedding to share with you all. I knew immediately when I met Anne and Patrice, over a year ago, that their wedding was going to be crazy-fun. They did not disappoint. The fact is that some couples are put through a bit more adversity than others on the road to their Big Day and to get through those hard times with big smiles, full hearts and SO much love for those around them is a testament to how amazing these two ladies are.
I’d be writing for days if I actually took the time to go into detail about every bit that made Patrice and Anne’s wedding so incredibly cool. Instead I’m just going to blurt out a bunch of things which, when taken out of context, may not lead you directly to a wedding per se, however that is precisely what made this day so uniquely awesome. So, let’s see.. Unicorn shoes, Jazz Hands, the Stanky Legg, and the gorgeous florals courtesy of their totally talented bridesmaid, Maggie. Michele taking us to church with a jaw-dropping rendition of Amazing Grace during the ceremony. Brunch for dinner, with Bloody Marys and Mimosas. Special years as table numbers with photos of both brides and trivia from the year. Learning how to Dougie. A (really yummy) cookie in lieu of cake cutting. BRUCE!!! Some of the best and most prolific dance skills I’ve seen in a long time. Oh, and one of the most touching elements- a memorial wall with photos of their friends and family no longer with us, complete with each person’s favorite drink.
I seriously could go on and on, however you’d probably just like to get to the photos at this point. So let me just say that there were some tearful and hysterical toasts, an incredibly sweet first dance, and once the dance party started there was absolutely no stopping it. Big thanks to Michael Duncan with Miked Up Productions for keeping this insane dance party going deep into the night. What a day it was!!! I have so much love for these two ladies, their fantastic friends and their loving families. Can’t wait until the next party!!! xoxo, Amy
