Hello and welcome back to the blog! I apologize for the month-long hiatus. You know you haven’t posted in awhile when your friends start emailing to ask if you’re OK. Molly, I’m fine… and thanks for missing the Blog. 🙂 This will be the first of several posts to come.
A few weeks back I had the chance to catch up with John and Heather whose wedding I’d photographed in 2010. This time I was delighted to photograph their new adorable edition, Nolan. After starting off his little life with several weeks in Intensive Care, Nolan was finally home and cozy with mom and dad. I always enjoy seeing past couples after long absences, but especially those who are artistic and fun like Heather and John. My favorite family sessions are when my clients simply let me into their lives to shoot their daily routines, and they allowed me to do just that. Warming milk on the stove, feeding on the living room couch, bath time in the bathroom sink, these are the moments that make up life with baby. These are the moments to remember when they’re off to their first day of kindergarten, starting their first job, or heading across the country for college. Everyday life is a fleetingly beautiful thing, always worth remembering.
Big love to this little family!
