At the end of June I was honored to document Evie and Ryan’s completely magical wedding at Kiana Lodge in Poulso. Kiana is one of my favorite venues for many reasons but particularly because of it’s distinctive Pacific Northwest feel (note the curious little Douglas squirrel who decided to join us for the couple’s first look). There were so many wonderful elements that came together to bring this beautiful event to life and I especially loved the amazing lush and romantic arrangements Melanie Benson Floral created to compliment the natural beauty of Kiana. There were many little creative details all throughout the day, from the birds on their wedding cake (Ryan is an avid birder) to the mossy table for their escort cards, but I think my favorite had to be Evie’s dad bag-pipped them to dinner. This was such a fun and incredibly sweet way to make their official grand entrance. After dinner and cake, we took a stroll out to the dock at sunset and were joined there by not only two bald eagles but also a river otter and her two little pups (like I said, Distinctively PNW). We had such a wonderful time sharing Evie and Ryan’s stunning wedding and wish them and their families a hearty congratulations and so much love!!! xo, Amy
