MulvihillBlog_000 Hello hello!  So much in the works and coming to the blog before the end of the year, so leave space on your to do list to check in often!  However, that’s all later. Today is for Rachel and Joe.

What feels like FOREVER ago I got to spend a sparkling Summer day with some of the most delightful people on one of the best days of their lives. How cool is that? Those of you who follow me on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter may recognize Joe from the ridiculously-viral and totally awesome photo my fantastic assistant shot of him and his groomsmen while they were getting ready, heck even if you don’t follow me you likely saw it somewhere. If you were under a rock and missed it, not to worry, just scroll down.

This wedding truly was a 2014 favorite. These two are just about the most fun, laid back, no drama people you could meet and their wedding SO perfectly reflected their amazing love for each other and their families. Everyone came together to make this such a unique and beautiful day. First, there was the wedding cake- Rachel’s two friends baked the cake and decorated it as a “naked” cake which just added to their down-home, no fuss,  vibe. I also love all of the bright and colorful floral arrangements they put together with fun flowers like snapdragons and dahlias from Pike Place Market and the whimsical mismatched cloth napkins that Rachel specifically chose for their “garden party” feel and so the decorations didn’t look like a company designed everything to match.  Even Rachel’s bridesmaids were perfectly non-matchy-matchy, I am crazy about that pink ombre color palette!  Speaking of matchy- it was also super sweet that their custom made vases included two actual matches to symbolize Joe and Rachel’s “perfect match” together.

This wedding really had everything you could ask for- beautiful outdoor ceremony, lovely beach scene, dancing on the grass, lawn games, crazy excessive dancing, and two of the chillest and most beautiful people you could ever want to meet joining together in marriage.  I was only sad their adorable dog, Dexter, wasn’t able to be there.  I’m sure he heard all about it once they got home.  Rachel and Joe, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your day (and one crazy week of internet madness) with me and Lucas.  It was a pleasure to capture your wedding day and a joy to get to know you both.

xoxo, amy
