Hello Hello Hello!!
Early this month I spent a couple of fantastically educational, inspirational, and chilly days in Toronto with the ridiculously gifted and award-winning photographer Silvana Frammartino of Impulse Photography. She helped me a lot with my basic studio workflow and marketing (in fact she was the driving force in encouraging me to create this new blog) and we had a ton of fun shooting a little Canadian engagement photography with our adorable couple, Justin and Sophia. However, the thing I took away most from our time together was this: Believe in yourself. Own. Your. Life. Dare to be the very best YOU you can be. Be who you are and be proud of it. I find that at some point every year I get to a point where I question what I’m doing. I start to look around to see what everyone else is doing and think that I should be doing whatever that is. I question who I am and what I do and who I know. It’s silly, really. Because to tell you the truth, I really like me. I appreciate my wit and sarcasm and absurdities. I appreciate my storytelling. I appreciate my childish and simple joy of confetti that seems to have taken over everything I do lately. These are the things that make me who I am and shape what I do and how I do it. Now why on Earth would I want to be anyone else? I’m already so good at being me. 🙂 Thanks a million to the beautiful Silvana for enlightening me and helping me remember that being yourself and having a little faith is the best possible way to succeed at anything. Now, please enjoy a few images from our chilly shoot in the Great White North (processing inspired by one of my favorite films of all time Kodak T-MAX 3200)…
