In June we had the pleasure of joining Michael and Laura for their absolutely stunning Leavenworth wedding. It’s always a joy to be shooting at the picturesque Sleeping Lady resort, but doubly awesome when I get to photograph the wedding of two people who are unequivocally madly in love. At every turn, all day long, Laura and Michael were at each others side stealing glances and sweet smiles and it was simply a delight to be in the presence of such authentic love.
All of the details of the day were impeccable: Michael’s pocket watch, Laura’s lucky penny tied with ribbon for her Something Blue, her sister Emily’s pale pink Maid of Honor dress. I also could not stop photographing their absolutely breath-taking bouquets! Laura told me she’d requested something “unruly” from McKenzie Powell and they delivered some of the most rebelliously-beautiful floral arrangements I’d ever seen. Absolute perfection! Laura and Michael’s dog, Hoku, also got her very own unruly floral collar for her walk down the aisle.
Once again I was lucky to get to work side by side with the incomparable Taylor’d Events, who always put 110% into making sure that everything goes off without a hitch. Alex and her team made certain that nothing was left to chance and everything ran smoothly; from assembling a crayon-decorated castle for the kids to organizing sparklers at the end of the evening.
Huge hugs go out to Laura and Michael, all of their wonderful friends and family, and of course their amazing team of vendors. You guys made our day fun and relaxed and allowed us to just really be in the moment with you to capture the very first day of a lifetime of wedded bliss for this perfect couple.
Big thanks and lots of love!! xoxo, Amy

I just love this wedding. I almost teared up… I might still…
Thanks for the love! I was there. The guy in the tan suit with paisley tie. I teared up PLENTY for both of us!
