Today I’d like you to meet Lenore and Odell and check out their beautiful Center for Urban Horticulture wedding. I immediately fell in love with these two when they cooked me traditional Filipino breakfast before their engagement session last Winter. You really can’t beat that!
This is what Lenore had to say about what they loved most about their big day- “Odell & I loved that our wedding was totally “us.” We really kept our guests in mind and wanted to make the day enjoyable for everyone, especially since almost all of our guests had travelled to Seattle to be part of our special day (farthest guests were from Australia and Switzerland!). We thought about the things that were most enjoyable to us at other weddings we had attended, and focused on those elements while planning ours. Some highlights for us were our super-fun photogs, the outdoor venue on that sunny September day, the short & sweet ceremony, open bar including local wines and our very own signature drinks, our rustic and locally-inspired dinner menu, the photobooth, and our DJ, who did an awesome job mixing our unique country, r&b, boy-band, and pop music tastes! We wanted the day to be about love and laughter, with our closest friends and family, with smiles all around – and and that’s exactly what we got!”
I loved that they really considered their guests during the planning process and took out any traditional events that they felt might slow down the fun. Their ceremony was short but beautiful, presided over by the fantastic Reverend Ray and organized by the fabulously talented Leeching Tran of L Events. Their guests waved ribbons and blew bubbles as the couple exited down the aisle and then enjoyed amazing cocktails and food while mingling during some crazy group photo time. I especially loved their wedding clothes. Lenore’s dress was unbelievably gorgeous and Odell’s mint bow tie and swanky shoes were amazing. And what about those post-ceremony custom Jordans’ Odell and his groomsmen were rockin?! Ridic.
Charissa, Lucas, and I all had such an amazing time with this group. It was seriously one of those weddings that as a wedding photographer you think- Man, this music and these people are kick ass! I want to set this camera down and get out on that dance floor! We did make sure we took part in the photo booth and, let’s be honest, I may or may not have joined some dance floor occupants for a rousing sing-along of Red Solo Cup. Just sayin. DJ Sean Denard, you are a master sir.
Lenore and Odell, you guys are so incredibly awesome and I am so honored and overjoyed to have been a part of such a fabulous party. Much love to both of you!!! Cupcakes again soon. 🙂
