Rachelle and Tyson’s wedding may be my most memorable of the year. Not only because these two are some of the coolest people I was honored to photograph this year, but also because of the rain. So much rain! People were soaked! And it was still amazing! That’s how completely awesome these two and their friends and families are. Mid-ceremony the skies opened up and everyone collectively just kinda decided, ‘hey, we’re in it for the long haul now, let’s hear some vows!’ and jackets became umbrellas and that was that. It was absolutely fantastic, except for the fact that I was totally drenched. We made it though the ceremony, everyone hustled over to the bar, Rachelle got out the hair dryer and all was right with the world. That is how every wedding should be. I mean, maybe not the rain part, but the chill whatever-happens-happens-we’re-still-gonna-be-married attitude. I adore these two and their families for rolling with the punches and turning what could have been the most bitter icky lemons into the most delightfully sweet lemonade. Tyson and Rachelle, I wish you so much love and happiness and know that whatever comes your way, it will be seen with the same optimism and fun spirit as this amazing day was.
