Let’s be honest, not everyone’s backyard is fit for a wedding, I know mine sure isn’t. And that’s not just because I don’t have a yard. However,  after meeting Ryan and Jimmy and upon hearing that they were hosting their wedding at Ryan’s childhood home in Wallingford I knew it was going to be absolutely perfect. These two absolutely exude 100%  joyful, carefree, happiness. I dare you not to look at their adoring faces and not smile back at your computer screen.  In fact, I guarantee you’ll be in a better mood once when you arrive at the end of this blog post today; they are THAT darling. Case in point, and to clarify the photo above of Ryan’s engagement ring, let me just quickly tell you how Jimmy proposed.  You see, Ryan is an avid coin collector, most often resulting in lots of pennies she’s found along the street.  So one day around Christmastime when they were home from college visiting Ryan’s parents, Jimmy tells her they need to run to the grocery store; so Ryan runs upstairs to quickly get dressed and Jimmy pops outside to leave a bit of change out along the sidewalk. As they head off to the store, Ryan happily collects a couple of pennies until she’s spotted the unlikely quarter. She leans down to pick up the 25-cent piece and when she excitedly turns to show it to Jimmy, he openhandedly shows her the change he’s found: a few coins and a diamond engagement ring.  Adorable. Actually, my favorite part of this story is that when Ryan wanted to immediately run back inside to let her family know the amazing news, Jimmy was like, “No, seriously, we really do have to go to the grocery store.”  And they did!  And she waited until they got back to tell them. I love that they had those few moments all to themselves, standing in the dairy aisle of QFC, with a secret only they knew.  Jimmy and Ryan, it was more than a pleasure getting to know you both and being able to share this amazing day with you and your wonderful families.  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. xx, Amy
