Happy New Year everyone! For my first post of this glorious 2016, I’d like to remind you all that just because you decide to elope or to have a small ceremony doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have beautiful, meaningful photos. Sarah and Alex just recently moved to the Pacific Northwest from the East Coast, by way of California. They decided to elope only days before their ceremony at Willows Lodge in Woodinville, knowing that something sweet and simple was what fit their hearts best. I was incredibly fortunate to be available to witness this most lovely and wonderful of days along with their officiant, the incomparable Annemarie Juhlian. Their vows were said in front of the fire of the intimate Willows Lodge library amid myself, Annemarie, two witnesses and their darling pup, Patrone on New Year’s Day. Sealed with a kiss, Alex and Sarah toasted champagne, signed their certificates, and followed me into the crisp January air for a lovely walk, a little snuggling and some pretty cool bald eagle sightings. One of the most special reasons that I love my job is getting to meet and capture love as sweet as this. Congratulations to Sarah and Alex, here’s to many more new years celebrated with this kind of love and warmth. xo, Amy
